Spring is here! We've seen a snake a couple times...

And one of the orchids in the front window is blooming...

Kelly has been collecting sap for just over a week...

She's been dumping it into the barrel...

Well, the barrel is full and the buckets are still out, so today is boiling day...

We siphon the sap out of the barrel...

Then run it through a strainer and start boiling...

Kelly had some online training, so I stayed home and started. The dogs were extremely helpful...

All day long, boil syrup and skim off the foam...

Here is nine hours of work, maybe twenty gallons...

Did I mention how helpful the dogs were...
